Big God story - Jim, Lee and I
were coming back from dear relatives of ours in Hammonton late last
night. There is a long stretch of construction that is very dicey on
the White Horse Pike and as I approached the top this bridge that they
are working on there was a pair of headlights headed right for us maybe
not even 50 feet away from us. There was no where to go; cement barrier
on the right side of the road, a car behind us further back, a car in
the other lane headed in our direction, too, so no matter where I went,
there was going to be a crash. My mind processed this situation quite
quickly. I had a peaceful feeling, didn't panic and put on the brakes
for some reason. Seemed like the only thing to do was to try to lessen
the blow as it appeared there was no way out of this. I don't know if
s/he was drunk, fell asleep or thought it was a two lane road in that
direction, but I'm sure s/he was as surprised as me to see another car
head on at the top of this hill. At the very last second, the on coming
car moved into their proper lane, missing the other car that was coming
up that way and missing us all together by feet. I have to believe that
slowing our van down may have given them the time to collect him/herself
and realize what was going on and get out of the way just in time. I'm
telling you it was only seconds involved here. I have been thanking
God and our and that person's angels ever since. I'm very clear it was
God and his workers that kept us from dying last night. I am very emotional
whenever I think of or relay this story today as I realize how close
we came to death last night and feel very blessed we were guided and
protected and that I am even aware that 'they' were there with us last
night and it wasn't just a stroke of good luck!
This is a thank you to you, too, for being such an integral part of
my spiritual path by introducing the angels and their work to me. I
am a more conscious and spiritual being because of you. I love you very
much.
